O’LEARY RICHARDS DESIGN ASSOCIATES, INC. 22 <br />Sunny Isles Beach RFQ No. 16-06-02 <br />Landscape Architect Services <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />We have completed numerous projects for local municipalities within FDOT right-of-ways which require <br />securing of permits and interface with the FDOT. Some of these projects include SR 5/Collins Avenue <br />Streetscape in Bal Harbour; Crandon Boulevard Landscaping in Key Biscayne; SR 826/Sunny Isles Boule- <br />vard and SR A1A/Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach; Kennedy Causeway/NW 79th Street Median Land- <br />scaping in North Bay Village, Florida; US 1 from SW 136th St. to SW 80th St. in the Village of Pinecrest; <br />SR 5/Biscayne Boulevard from NE 172nd Street to NE 214th Street in Aventura; and Miracle Mile in Coral <br />Gables, Florida, to name a few. We recently completed three parks for the Town of Golden Beach and <br />won an award of excellence for paving design from NCMA for the Palmetto Bay Municipal Center where <br />we master planned the open space, prepared construction documents and assisted in LEED certification. <br /> <br />The key professionals at ORDA have over 125 years of combined experience in all required responsibili- <br />ties requested by the City of Sunny Isles Beach. We have extensive experience with numerous munici- <br />palities and agencies in the preparation of landscape drawings, construction documents and specifica- <br />tions, site master planning, analysis, urban design and open space planning. We have prepared design <br />guidelines for the City of Aventura and have performed peer review analysis for Aventura, Sunny Isles <br />Beach and the Florida Department of Transportation. In addition to landscape architectural design and <br />planning, we specialize in assisting municipalities monitor their landscape maintenance by providing <br />maintenance inspections and reports, meeting with the maintenance contractor, and providing solutions <br />to everyday problems that occur. ORDA has full cad capabilities and computer graphic technology with <br />knowledge of the latest cad techniques. <br /> <br />Kathryn O'Leary Richards, ASLA, is President of ORDA with over 31 years of experience as a Landscape <br />Architect in South Florida and has been the design principle for a multitude of successful civic and public <br />projects. Under Kathy’s technical and administrative guidance, there have been numerous successful pro- <br />jects that were built on time and within budget. She is a LEED accredited professional and an ISA certi- <br />fied arborist who promotes environmentally sensitive approaches and her leadership skills ensure quality <br />as she oversees the execution of major projects. She is currently the landscape plans reviewer for the <br />City of Aventura, City of Sunny Isles Beach and the Town of Golden Beach. Bill O’Leary, FASLA, has <br />practiced as a Landscape Architect in South Florida for over 50 years, is a fellow of the American Society <br />of Landscape Architects and is widely considered a leader in his field. He founded the firm that has <br />evolved into ORDA in 1969. His experience includes being the Landscape Architectural Consultant to nu- <br />merous municipalities and FDOT for several years.
