<br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH 2007 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />EVALUATION AND APPRAISAL REPORT (EAR)-BASED AMENDMENTS <br />use conforms to, and is consistent with the goals, objectives and policies of the Comprehensive Plan, including <br />the adopted Land Use Plan Map and "Land Use Implementation" provisions of this Element. The Director of <br />the Community Planning and Development Department, or other designee of the City Manager, and the City <br />Attorney shall be the principal administrative interpreter~ of the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />13. Amend Policy 5C. as follows: <br /> <br />Policy 5C. All planning activities pertaining to development and redevelopment and the provision of public <br />services and facilities in the City of Sunny Isles Beach shall be consistent with the "Population Estimates and <br />Projections" outlined below, as they are periodically amended and updated. contained in this Element, and with <br />the locations and extent of future land uses as identified by the Land Use Plan Map and land use <br />implementation provisions. When estimates of current and projected population are periodically updated by the Miami Dade <br />County Department of Planning, Development & Regulation. The U.S. Census Bureau, or the Florida Bureau of <br />Economic and Business Research or other sources recognized by the Department of Community Affairs and <br />when revised projections of future population or population distributions are officially filed, these new <br />estimates and projections may be used for planning in the City of Sunny Isles Beach in lieu of previously <br />published population estimates and the population projections currently adopted in the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />15. Amend Objective 6 as follows: <br /> <br />Objective 6 <br /> <br />By 2003, tIhe City of Sunny Isles Beach shall continue to require, as appropriate and feasible, that all new <br />development and redevelopment in existing and planned transit corridors te----Be lLplanned and designed to <br />promote pedestrian and transit use. <br /> <br />16. Add a new Policy 6C. as follows: <br /> <br />Policy 6C. The City shall coordinate as appropriate with Miami-Dade County to encourage and facilitate <br />location of the northern terminus of the water taxi service at the proposed site on Sunny Isles Beach Boulevard <br />Loop Road, and to ensure pedestrian, bicycle, automobile, and transit access to and from this facility. <br /> <br />8 <br />
