<br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH 2007 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />EV ALUA TION AND APPRAISAL REPORT (EAR)-BASED AMENDMENTS <br />6. Amend Objective 4 as follows: <br /> <br />Objective 4 <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach shall, by the year 2005, continue to reduce the number of land uses which are <br />inconsistent with the uses designated of the Land Use Plan Map and interpretive policies, or with the character <br />of the surrounding community. <br /> <br />7. Amend Policy 4E. as follows: <br /> <br />Policy 4E. All land development regulations shall be consistent with, and implement, the Comprehensive <br />Plan Land Use PIan Map and interpretive policies. Zoning shall be examined to determine consistency \vith the <br />Comprehensive Plan, and if deemed necessary to remedy an inconsistency, rezoning action shall be initiated. <br />Such examination will occur during formulation of the City's Land Development Regulations. <br /> <br />8. Add a new Policy 4G. as follows: <br /> <br />Policy 4G. By 2010, the City shall conduct an assessment of the need for government facilities, and sites <br />that might be suitable for the location and development of these facilities. Government facilities shall be <br />permitted in all Land Use Districts except Conservation, to the extent that the facility is compatible with <br />proximate land uses in accordance with Obiective 4 and its implementing policies. <br /> <br />9. Add a new Policy 4H. as follows: <br /> <br />Policy 4H. Although there are currently no military installations within or proximate to Sunny Isles Beach, <br />the City shall adhere to State statutory requirements to ensure compatibility of new development and <br />redevelopment with military operations if a military installation is located within or within one-half mile of its <br />boundaries in the future. <br /> <br />10. Amend Objective 5 as follows: <br /> <br />Objective 5 <br /> <br />Upon adoption of this plan, aAll public and private activities regarding the use, development and redevelopment <br />of land and the provision of urban services and infrastructure shall be consistent with: the goal, objectives and <br />policies of this Comprehensive PlanElement,~ with the adopted Population Estimates and Projections, and; afld <br />with the future uses provided by the adopted Land Use Plan mMap and interpretive policies, as balanced with <br />the Goals, Objectives and Policies of all Elements of the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />11. Amend Policy SA. as follows: <br /> <br />Policy SA. The Land Use Plan Map and interpretive policies contained in this Element establishes provide <br />standards for allowable land uses, and densities or intensities of use for each land use category identified on the <br />adopted Land Use Plan map, and is declared to be an integral part of these adopted Land Use Policies. <br /> <br />12. Amend Policy 5B. as follows: <br /> <br />Policy 5B. All development orders authorizing a new land use of development, or redevelopment, or <br />significant expansion of an existing use shall be contingent upon an affirmative finding that the development of <br />7 <br />
