Add a new Objective 16 as follows: <br /> <br />Obiective 16 <br /> <br />By 2010, the City shall evaluate the feasibility of developing a Community Strategic Plan that will be included <br />in this Comprehensive Plan as a Visioning Element in order to further achievement of the Community Vision <br />and Mission Statement, as it may be refined to reflect changing conditions and needs. <br /> <br />43. Add a new Policy 16A. as follows: <br /> <br />Policy 16A. The Community Strategic Plan shall include a Mission Statement that IS reflective of the <br />community vision. <br /> <br />44. Add a new Policy 16B. as follows: <br /> <br />Policy 16B. The Community Strategic Plan shall be consistent with this Comprehensive Plan, and adopted <br />into this Comprehensive Plan as a Visioning Element. <br /> <br />45. Add a new Policy 16D. as follows: <br /> <br />Policy 16D. The Community Strategic Plan shall be developed based on a public involvement process <br />designed to engage residents, property owners, businesses and community organizations in the formulation of a <br />new or refinement of the existing Community Vision and Mission Statement. <br /> <br />46. Add a new Policy 16E. as follows: <br /> <br />Policy 16E. The Community Strategic Plan shall include milestones and benchmarks to gauge plan <br />achievement, and processes for its periodic update to reflect changing conditions and needs. <br /> <br />47. Add a new Policy 16F. as follows: <br /> <br />Policy 16F. The Community Strategic Plan shall contain strategies to maintain and improve the quality of life <br />of existing and future residents in light of existing and proiected development and redevelopment, proiected <br />population growth, and economic development efforts. <br /> <br />48. Add a new Policy 16G. as follows: <br /> <br />Policy 16G. The Community Strategic Plan shall contain strategies to maintain and enhance the City's <br />viability as a location for businesses, particularly businesses associated with the hospitality and service <br />industries that form the City's economic base, or that provide key services and employment opportunities to <br />residents and visitors. <br /> <br />16 <br />
