<br />( <br /> <br />. <br />\ <br /> <br />{ <br /> <br />GUIDELINES FOR POLLWATCHERS <br />FLORIDA STATUTE 101.131 <br /> <br />Each political committee, party and candidate may have one potlwatcher in each polling room <br />at any time during elections. <br /> <br />During the election, the officials shall call out the names of electors loudly enough to be <br />heard by the pollwatchers. .' <br /> <br />Poll watchers shall: <br /> <br />. . <br />. upon their arrival at the precinct, give their approved copy of the Poll watcher <br />Application Form to the Precinct Oerk for verification. <br /> <br />. be allowed within the polling room to watch and observe the conduct of the <br />electors and the officials. (T11ey may not walk around the vodng area.) <br /> <br />. furnish their own materials and necessities (induding chair and cellular phone if <br />necessaJy. "nley may not use the precinct phone.) <br /> <br />. inspect the precinct registers only when the officials are not processing electors. <br /> <br />. inform the Oerk if they wish to challenge an electo....s right to vote. The <br />pollwatcher must then fill out the "Oath of Person Entering Challenge of Elector". <br />"nle Oerk will follow the procedures for a challenged voter. <br /> <br />. inform the Oerk if they see or hear anything that does not comply with election <br />laws. If they are not satisfied with the explanation or action taken, they may call <br />the Elections Department at 375-5553. <br /> <br />. D.Q1 take radios, television sets or newspapers to the polls. <br /> <br />. D.Q1 wear or display any political party, candidate's name or other pertinent <br />campaign materials. <br /> <br />. D.Q1 obstrUct the order1y conduct of any election. <br /> <br />.
