( ABSENTEE BALLOT PROCEDURES SITUATION Early on election morning you may receive a telephone call giving you names of electors sent an AS (Absentee BaDot), or receive a list by messenger. IAn elector whose signature line is marked II ABSENTEE BALLOT SENT- brings in an unvoted or voted Absentee Ballot. f An elector whose signature line Is marked "ABSENTEE BALLOT SENT- comes in to vote. and brings no Absentee Ballot with him. An elector whose signature line Is marked 'ABSENTEE BALLOT RETURNED" comes in to vote. ( 16112196 3.28 WHAT TO DO . write the names on the ABSENTEE BALLOT SENT LIST form provided in your Clerk's Kit. . Direct Inspectors to write .-AS SENT" on the signature line of the precinct register for each elector on the form. . If an elector has already voted. caD the Elections Department Absentee BaDot Number Bsted on the Telephone Information sheet. . Allow the elector to vote at your precinct. . write the word "cancel-- on the AB envelope and place It Into the Canceled BaDot Envelope. The Elector will sign the precinct register above the words" AB SENT". . caD the Absentee BaDot number on the Telephone Informadon Sheet to see If elector's Absentee Ballot has been received and opened.. ' If the ballot has not be~n received then the elector must fiU in the nAbsentee BaDot Affidavlt-- and they will be allowed to vote In the precinct. . The elector Is not aDowed to vote. . If the elector insists that he did not vote by Absentee Ballot and you have checked his date of birth, to be sure that you have the right elector, call the Absentee BaDot Number Dsted .on the Telephone lDiormatlon sheet.
