<br />DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS FOR MINOR ACCIDENTS: <br /> <br />1. First minor accident <br /> <br />a. Verbal warning; such warning to be noted In personal file. <br /> <br />2. Second minor accident <br /> <br />a. Written reprimand from the City Manager <br />b. Automatic loss of five hours compensatory time or equivalent pay. <br /> <br />3. Third minor accident <br /> <br />a. Written reprimand from the City Manager. <br />b. 2 day suspension. <br /> <br />4. Fourth (or greater number) minor accidents <br /> <br />a. Written reprimand from City Manager. <br />b. 40 hours suspension or dismissal from police service. <br /> <br />DISCIPLINARY ACTION FOR MAJOR ACCIDENTS: <br /> <br />1. First major accident <br /> <br />a. Written reprimand from City Manager. <br />b. 2 day suspension (if employee was negligent in a minor accident during the prior <br />24 month period). <br /> <br />2. Second major accident <br /> <br />a. Written reprimand from City Manager. <br />b. 40 hours suspension. <br />c. Mandatory attendance at a City-approved driver improvement course or such <br />other remedial courses deemed appropriate, depending on the type of accident <br />involved. <br /> <br />3. Third major accident <br /> <br />a. Written reprimand from the City Manager. <br />b.
