Following
a bid process, the City Commission awarded a contract to Hugo's Cleaning Service of
South Florida for City Hall services. It makes sense to have one vendor supply
cleaning services to both City Hall and the Police Department.

The price negotiated, $925 per month, is the same for City Hall. The City Hall facility
is about 15% larger, but is constructed as one large room. The Police Department
facility is segregated into different operational areas and is more difficult to clean. The
Police Department is operational 24 hours per day. For the above reasons we feel the
price is favorable.

The February 23, 1999 date was selected to end the agreement, to correspond to the
termination of the City Hall janitorial services agreement.

7c3t?~

James DiPietro,
City Manager

JD:pw

lOA
