In simplest terms, LOJACK Retrieve works by electronically linking <br />your car to a telecommunications network which includes transmitting <br />computers and tracking. computers in police vehicles. Should YOllr <br />LOJACK Retrieve eqUjpped car be stolen, your report of the theft .-to . <br />local police activates a computer aided radio broad~ sequence. ~_ <br />activates the individual L9JACK transmitter in your car allowing poIic~ . <br />cruisers equipped with LOJACK Police Tracking Computers to- <br />determine the precise location of your stolen car, recover it and often <br />arrest the thief. <br /> <br />Q. Where is LOJACK_placed in my car? <br /> <br />-~ <br />~ <br /> <br />::-----:..~. <br /> <br />LOJACK is placed in one of 20-30 hidden, recessed areas of your car._ . _ <br />LOJACK installers randomiZe the placement of the LOJACK <br />transmitter, resulting in a system that is difficult for a thief to find and <br />disable. <br /> <br />Q. What if I don't notice my vehicle has been stolen right away? <br /> <br />A. A professional thief wants your car for the revenue its stolen parts can <br />bdng. Most LOJACK recoveries to date have been consistent <br />with this- the car is found sitting empty along a road.. Many ~l"ests 4ave <br />occurred as a result of police "sting" operations, where police located <br />the stolen car with LOJACK Retrieve, and then arrested.the thief when <br />he returned to claim it.
