PREVENTIVE OR CORRECTIVE INSECT CONTROL <br />1. Lawn: Spray all lawn areas and athletic field, as required, for control of all chinch bugs, <br />army worms, sod webworm, fungus and other pests_ Spraying shall be accomplished (at <br />Contractor's expense) by State of Florida and Dade County licensed pesticide control <br />company, using Integrated Pest Management Principles. <br />2. Shrubs: Spray shrubs and ground cover (excluding bougainvillea), as needed, with <br />Orthene by Ortho Manufacturing Company_ Follow manufacturer's instructions for <br />application, using Integrated Pest Management Principles. <br />NOTWITHSTANDING ANY LANGUAGE IN THIS CONTRACT, ALL CHEMICAL <br />APPLICATIONS SHALL REQUIRE WRITTEN APPROVAL BY CITY OR CITY <br />LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT PRIOR TO APPLICATION. CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT <br />YEARLY, QUARTERLY, AND MONTHLY CALENDARS FOR APPROVAL PURPOSES <br />RELATING TO ALL CHEMICAL APPLICATIONS AND LOCATIONS. <br />R..MOWERS AND EDGERS <br />1. All mowers shall be adjusted to 2 1/2" cutting height, shall be in good repair, shall have <br />no oil or gas leaks, and shall be equipped with grass catchers. <br />2_ All mowers must be mulching -type mowers with no discharge allowed. <br />3. All equipment must be maintained in sound working condition in order not to exceed <br />comfortable decibel levels. <br />4. Edgers shall be in good repair, shall have no oil or gas leeks, and shall provide a clean <br />straight edge not more than 1/2" away from walks and edge of pavement. <br />BIDDERS NAME.
