No. 40700-0-M Phare <br />it Make grout cubes. <br />• Observe the drilling process and noting any relevant irregularities. <br />• Approve the pile augering termination criteria and recording the pile up <br />elevation prior to pumping. <br />• Observe and document the grouting procedure, noting the depth of the auger tip <br />during and delays in grouting, and the time of any delay during pumping. <br />• Record the total autriber of pump strokes for the determination of the actual <br />grout volume pumped into each pile. Calculate theoretical pile volume and <br />grout factor. <br />• Periodically record the grout pressure during pumping and the rate of <br />withdrawal of the auger. <br />• Monitor the setting process of the fresh grout based on actual samples taken at <br />the time of arrival on site. Grout, which reaches its initial set, should not be <br />used. <br />• Observe fresh- grouted piles to determme whether any settling or grout <br />subsidence occurs. <br />• Monitor the installation of reinforcing steel in the piles. <br />2. Grout Testing <br />Perform compressive strength testing on grout cubes prepared during production pile <br />installation. <br />3. Final Report <br />Provide a final report documenting the production pile inanllations. <br />We will provide field representatives to conduct field monitoring and sampling. The final report <br />of field results will be signed and scaled by a State of Florida Registered Professional Engineer, <br />Our work does not include supervision of direction of the actual work of the contractor. Neither <br />the presence of our field representarive, nor the observation and testing by our firm, shall excuse <br />The contractar in any way for defects discovered in his work. <br />E <br />
