<br />Addendum 1 <br /> <br />This addendum is issued to clarify and correct information in the original bid package, as <br />a result of the pre-bid conference held Monday, April 26, and other questions received <br />regarding the RFP. <br /> <br />Corrections <br /> <br />· Diagram 14.10 shows four cables run from the PD Computer Room to each of <br />eight (8) locations on the first floor Only two (2) cables will be run between <br />these locations. Also see questions #6, #15, and #28 below <br /> <br />Questions! Answers <br /> <br />I. Must the system be designed to meet manufacturer's warranty requirements? If <br />so, can the appropriate manufacturer components be substituted for those <br />specified in the RFP? <br />>- Yes, the system must be designed to meet manufacturer warranty <br />requirements, and appropriate manufacturer components may be <br />substituted for those specified in the RFP in order to meet the <br />manufacturer warranty requirements. <br />2. The RFP specifies 50 or 100 pair Cat5e to be installed as part of the backbone <br />riser cable. Cat5e is only sold in 25-pair cable. Should multiple 25-pair cables be <br />used to meet the 50/100 pair requirement? <br />);- Yes, multiple 25-pair cables should be used to meet the pair quantity <br />specified in the RFP. <br />3. Will grounding be provided or must the vendor provide grounding of all racks, <br />ladders, etc? <br />.,. All tel co backboards will have grounding provided as specified in the <br />architectural plans (see section 14.20 of the RFP). However, all sites <br />requiring rack/ladder installations will not necessarily have grounded <br />backboards installed. Vendor is responsible for proper grounding of <br />installation. <br />4. Is plenum cable required for installation? <br />);- Yes, all cable installed must be plenum rated. <br />5. Must all fiber cable be run inner-duct? <br />.,. As specified in section 10.2.2 of the RFP, all fiber cable must be run <br />inner-duct unless otherwise recommended by the manufacturer <br />6. Please clarify the conference room modular outlet requirements depicted in <br />diagram 14.2? <br />, The eight (8) conference room locations depicted in diagram 14.2 shall <br />have a total of6 cables each. Four (4) cables shall be home run to telco <br />closet 2-009, and an additional two (2) cables shall be home run to the PD <br />computer room. <br /> <br />5\6 <br />
