<br />The School District of Lee County, Florida - RFP # 6211 <br />Document Imaging System <br /> <br />August 5, 2004 <br /> <br />Security; All user activity and security prrvileges are maintained through the LaserFiche Client licensing. <br />There is only one pool of users to manage regardless of whether they will access the system as full users, <br />read-only users, or Web-based clients Any users who have been given the right to modify index <br />templates (Read/Write license) automatically have the ability to participate in the automated workflow. <br />The LaserFiche Server application and database has proven to be stable and requires very little <br />administrative maintenance By uSing Weblmk or Web Access as SDLC's retneval or workflow platform, <br />organizations eliminate the need to install or maintain any client-side applications related to the DIMS. <br /> <br />The LaserFiche DIMS provides extensive security at the user level and object level (folders/subfolders and <br />individual documents). Security can be defined by the user and/or group. The DIMS security protects the <br />integrity of all documents, folder/subfolders, the database, and designated areas (redaction) of particular <br />documents. The DIMS will prevent unauthorized access to the imaging system and its objects <br />(documents, folders/subfolders). Users can be setup as Read/Write in certain areas or departments <br />(folders/subfolders) and Read Only in other departments (folders/subfolders). The security administrator <br />can control which users and groups have access to which documents, folders, and subfolders. Certain <br />functions or features can also be restricted by the user, group, and object.
