<br />., <br /> <br />~- The Honorable City Commission <br />May 18, 2006 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION <br /> <br />Staffs has determined the above charges to be reasonable and customary and recommends the <br />City piggyback the City of Texas City, Texas, Bid No. 2006-120 and enter into an agreement <br />with Sunguard-HTE, Inc. <br /> <br />Upon entering into an agreement with Sunguard-HTE, Inc. the implementation of Phases I and II <br />is anticipated to take approximately six (6) to nine (9) months and up to approximately eighteen <br />(18) for the completion of Phase III. <br /> <br />The new state-of-art system will provide Police Department Personnel with crucial, real-time <br />information that will assist in protecting the lives of officers and citizens. Additionally, the <br />system is an accurate, comprehensive system to collect and store all of the information gathered <br />by law enforcement personnel during the course of an incident investigation, which will provide <br />for increased efficiency, overall. <br /> <br />Reducing the costs of report preparation and records management, improving the accuracy and <br />utility of the information, and maximizes officer time in the field. <br /> <br />Funds are available at this time for this purchase. <br /> <br />MG/pw <br />
