Hines, City Clerk <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Jane Hines, City Clerk \\ . <br />Susan Simpson, Cultural & Human Services Direct~ <br /> <br />March 21, 2006 <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Resolution approving the base color of the Community Shuttle Buses <br /> <br />As instructed at the City Commission meeting on Thursday, March 16,2006, I presented each <br />elected official with paint samples and a re-design of the shuttle bus. The samples, with each <br />Commissioner's sign off, is attached for your file. <br /> <br />They were given a total of three paint color choices. Both Vice Mayor Brezin and Commissioner <br />Gerry Goodman voted for Color LN. Mayor Edelcup voted for Color LS. Commissioner Lew <br />Thaler voted for Color P3. Commissioner Danny Iglesias abstained. <br /> <br />Per these results, I have instructed Atlantic Bus Sales to paint the two new buses Color LN - Light <br />Blue Effect. Following the arrival of the new buses, the three current buses will be painted to match <br />the new buses. This project will come back to Commission for approval as it is expected to exceed <br />$10,000.00. <br /> <br />During the voting process, Vice Mayor Brezin requested that the phrase "Florida's Riviera" be <br />incorporated into the new design providing that we can get authority to use that phrase from the <br />City Attorney's office. She further requested that I poll the rest of the Commission while taking <br />their vote on the color. Of the four that voted on this issue, all of them agreed that they would like <br />to incorporate the phrase "Florida's Riviera" on the buses. Vice Mayor Brezin stated that she would <br />discuss a copyright of the phrase with the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Attachments: 6 <br /> <br />C: A.
