VII. PERFORMANCE EV ALUA TION SYSTEM OVERVIEW

The following is an overview of our performance evaluation system. The information is offered
as a sample only; most provisions in the document (performance level designations, number of
objectives and factors, tirnelines, appeal rights, etc.) are tailored to each organization through a
one day policy development retreat with you and whomever else in rnanagement that custornarily
makes or directly consults on Hurnan Resources policy decisions.

Once this framework is established we will train your supervisors and orient your ernployees to
the new systern. The supervisory training is a two stage process with the second stage at about
halfway through the first implernentation cycle; this allows us to deal with real irnplementation
issues and offer additional training on how to deal with low and high performers.

STEPS FOR PERFORMANCE EVALUATION SYSTEM STUDY AND
TIMETABLE

· Conduct a policy framework discussion session; identifY specific
policies for the system.- To be conducted upon completion of the
Compensation and Classification Study
· Develop draft system handbook for review-Within two weeks of
policy session
· Conduct supervisory training and employee orientation-Within two
weeks of finalization of handbook
· Conduct midterm training with supervisors-6 months after
implementation of the system.

Compensation & CI....silication Study aud I'crfbrmaucc Evaluation System
The MCl'CCr (~roup, Inc.
