Approve the standard agreement from Black Bear for software modifications and training <br />for the not-to-exceed amount of $15,000. <br />2. Approve a contract amendment for an expanded scope of work for the not-to-exceed <br />amount of $32,000 for Homework (Please see following explanation for additional <br />details). This is part of an overall plan to improve the level of service provided by the <br />Building, Code Enforcement, Planning and Zoning Departments. <br /> <br />1. APPROVE STANDARD BLACK BEAR AGREEMENT <br />At the City Commission meeting on May 18, 2006, Resolution No. 2006-916 was passed. This <br />resolution authorized staff to purchase software modifications and training in the amount of <br />$12,000 from Black Bear Systems, Inc. and sign the appropriate agreement. We have been in <br />negotiations with Black Bear since last May but have not been able to come to terms. We have <br />met with the City Attorney and discussed our options and recommend approval of the attached <br />agreement from Black Bear. <br /> <br />2. REQUEST TO EXPAND SCOPE OF WORK FOR BLACK BEAR AND <br />HOMEWORK FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $32,000 <br /> <br />Based on the city's success with the Black Bear product to date, we would like to <br />expand the scope of the project to include the following: <br />. Replace existing Code Enforcement Access database with Black Bear functionality <br />· Replace existing Occupational Licensing Access database with Black Bear <br />functionality <br /> <br />Agenda Item ) 0 ~ <br />Date ~-, 5-b1_ <br />
