Parker, Building Official/Administrator cL-1' <br /> <br />February 27, 2007 <br /> <br />PT\'\IIN / Black Bear Software <br /> <br />As you are aware, for the past three years, our Department has been using "New World" as <br />permitting software, which has proven to lack essential features that are crucial to enhance <br />the managemcnt, efficiency, and effectiveness of our Department's operation. The software <br />is also very costly and requires high annual maintenance fees which are not cost effcctive <br />when comparing the product's characteristics with those of PIWIN. <br /> <br />Below, please find a list of program benefits and added features and services that will <br />enhance the Department's productivity. <br /> <br />. Program will improve the Department's efficiency and time management by: <br /> <br />1. Allowing staff to input permit application by importing existing name, <br />address, contractor's information, and permit type information with the click <br />of a button. <br /> <br />2. Plan reviewers will be able to utilize a standarclized review system with the <br />ability to import complete code scctions into their comments. <br /> <br />3. Will allow our plan reviewers to fce the permits automatically by using the <br />user designed fec capabilities. <br /> <br />4. Inspection requests can be input with the ease of utilizing separate lists of <br />inspection types with the click of a button <br />
