John Szerlag, City Manager <br /> <br />FROM: Douglas Haag, Assistant City Manager-Finance <br /> <br />DATE: September 20,2007 <br /> <br />RE: APPROVAL OF DEP GRANT AWARDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $328,000 <br />FOR ATLANTIC ISLE DRAINAGE PROJECT <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The City has received tentative approval for the above grant and have submitted the necessary <br />documentation to receive the grant agreement. Please approve the attached resolution <br />authorizing the City Manager to take the necessary steps to finalize the grant agreement. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />This application is on a reimbursement basis for the stormwater drainage project on Atlantic Isle. <br />This project is scheduled to begin this winter and planned completion is Summer, 2008. This is <br />a 50/50 matching grant, with the City's share budgeted in CIP project # 20.2. Total estimated <br />cost of this project is $656,000. <br /> <br />SIB <br />
