SCOPE OF WORK:
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (Department) and the City of Sunny Isles Beach
(Contractor) agree that the primary objectives of this project consist of the following:

The City is proposing to develop a multi-year, multi-use stonnwater collection system project in a
residential area adjacent to Collins Avenue (A-I-A) on Atlantic Avenue in the Atlantic Isles
development. The primary purpose for this facility will be to mitigate flooding, reduce ponding,
improve stonnwater flows, and decrease the level of debris prior to it entering the receiving body.

The City has already acquired the necessary right-of-way, so no funding will be needed for land
acquisition. We will use the funding for preliminary site planning (including development of a
management plan and surveying needs), design, and layout. The City requests that the agreement be
written with as much flexibility as possible to allow funding to be moved from professional services
and construction categories as needed. The time frame for this project is four years.

Invoicing will take place quarterly at a minimum and the City will provide an annual status report to
the DEP,

Scope Detail:

1. Consultants will be responsible for completing surveys associated with site assessment
(topographic, geotechnical, tree, jurisdictional wetlands, etc) necessary to develop overall project
design.

2. The Contractor will be responsible for the final project plan and implementation of the plan. The
project plan shall include surveys, construction drawings, time lines, detailed budget information,
bid documents and any subcontracts. Copies of the final plans shall be submitted to the
Department for review and approval.

3. The Consultant will be responsible for obtaining all necessary permits/authorizations.

4. The Consultant will be responsible to notify the Department of the project start up dates at least 14
days prior to commencement.

S, The Contractor will be responsible to provide adequate on-site management to ensure compliance
with the project plan and any permit conditions/requirements.

S\B
