<br />at the municipal level that are voluntary, locally determined, economically feasible, and <br />incentive-based; <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Board of Directors of the Florida League of Cities endorses the Florida <br />Green Building Coalition's "Green City" initiative as a voluntary means for municipalities to <br />take positive steps toward improving and advancing our environmental quality and energy <br />security; <br /> <br />Section 3. That the Board of Directors of the Florida League of Cities hereby encourages <br />municipalities to participate in the Green City initiative, and commits to assist Florida's <br />municipalities in the development of programs that: achieve the Green City standards and <br />designation; involve cost-efficient solutions; improve Florida's quality oflife; and strengthen our <br />economy; <br /> <br />Section 4. That the Board of Directors of the Florida League of Cities encourages the State of <br />Florida and the National League of Cities to support the Florida Green Building Coalition, Inc., <br />in the advancement and expansion of the Green City program in a manner that is economically <br />feasible and which respects the diversity and home rule authority of Florida's municipalities. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Florida League of Cities, Inc., this <br />18th Day of August 2007. <br />
