0 <br />1 3.08 DISPOSAL OF UNSUITABLE AND SURPLUS MATERIAL <br />A. All surplus and unsuitable excavated material shall be disposed of at the <br />Contractor's cost in one of the following ways as directed by the Engineer. <br />1. Transport to soil storage area on Owner's property and stockpile or <br />spread as directed by the Engineer. <br />2. Transport from Owner's property and legally dispose of. Any permit <br />required for the hauling and disposing of this material beyond Owner's <br />property shall be obtained prior to commencing hauling operations. <br />Copies of all required permits shall be provided to the Engineer. <br />B. Suitable excavated material may be used for fill if it meets the specifications for <br />common fill and is approved by the Engineer. Excavated material so approved <br />may be neatly stockpiled at the site where designated by the Engineer provided <br />there is an area available where it will not interfere with the operation of the <br />facility nor inconvenience traffic or adjoining property owners. <br />END OF SECTION <br />06/07 02221 -12 <br />03 -4197 <br />
