AlA <br />Paul Relnc;rman <br />W Ronald Hunt PE <br />Jorge Iglesias AlA <br />Enrique J Macid, AlA <br />Sandy O'Neil <br /> <br />November 30,2007 (Revised December 5,2007) <br /> <br />Mr. Rick Conner <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />Public Works Director <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br /> <br />Re: Heritage Park and Parking Garage Fee Proposal <br />RFQ No. 07-08-01 <br /> <br />Dear Rick: <br /> <br />We are pleased to submit our proposal to the City of Sunny Isles Beach for providing civil, landscaping, <br />architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical design services for new park facilities and a <br />new parking garage to be located in Heritage Park in the City of Sunny Isles Beach_ On proposal is based <br />on a general understanding of the Request for Qualifications No. 07-08-01 and our discussions. <br /> <br />Our project understanding for this building is as follows: <br /> <br />· Minimum of 500 Parking Spaces in 4 levels of parking (including the ground leveL) <br />· Footprint of Structure to be approximately 125 feet by 350 feet <br />· Driveway Entrance from Gallahad Dade Boulevard <br />· Park facilities on the remainder of the 4 acre site <br /> <br />Scope of Services <br /> <br />We understand that our scope of work will include architectural design and in house engineering for normal <br />civil, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical for a set of Construction Documents. Scope of <br />Services for Landscape Architectural Services are defined in document prepared by EDAW dated <br />November 29, 2007. SCDMJM will make phased submissions to the Client as indicated in the schedule. <br /> <br />Assumptions and Qualifications: <br />· SCDMJM will engage the services of a consultant to provide a survey of the (4 acre) site. Survey <br />to include a topographic survey, as well as, subsurface utility designations. <br />· SCDMJM will engage the services of a soil consultant. 8 borings, 60 feet in depth are anticipated to <br />be preformed, along with 2 percolation tests and 1 day of test excavation. <br />· Basic services fee does not include a fire sprinkler system. If required, design will be provided <br />according to the fee anticipated in Attachment 1. <br /> <br />Deliverables <br /> <br />Basic services to be provided by Spillis Candela DMJM will include Architectural design, Landscaping <br />design, Civil engineering and in-house Engineering for normal, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, and <br />Electrical for a permit set of documents.
