<br />service enables users to view and print information and maps about their community and/or <br />individual property, such as tax roll and parcel data, aerial photography, bus stop locations and <br />schedules, beach access locations, parks locations, and flood zone data, to name just a few. <br /> <br />Now that the City has created its own GIS Department, an additional sizeable cost savings of <br />approximately $35,000.00 will be experienced due to the fact that all data creation and <br />maintenance will be provided by in-house staff, as opposed to outsourcing as had been done <br />previously. The outsourcing of the enhancements is due to the industry-specific expertise that <br />CGA has in programming and customization. As well, they will be updating the look and feel of <br />the mapping site to match that of the present day City web site. <br /> <br />We would like to provide a portal to allow citizens to access common and useful information <br />through the convenience of the internet, as so many other cities have done. We believe that the <br />planned enhancement and deployment of the mapping service will be a great service to the <br />public. <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />There is a distinct financial advantage to revamping the old mapping service; the framework and <br />layout are already in place. However due to the dynamic nature of our City, and addition of new <br />public features, amenities, and changing parcel boundaries, the old site requires updating of both <br />the site's appearance and data presented. We plan to have the look of the site match that of the <br />City's current web site (colors, logos, fonts, etc.).
