<br />. . <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />STOCKTON MAINTENANCE GROUP, INe. <br />1975 SANSBURY WAY SUITE 116 <br />WEST PALM BEACH FL 33411 <br /> <br />The quantity of inspections is also very important because it helps ensure that through <br />over-sampling/inspection, performance standards are maintained and trends (especially <br />negative ones) in performance can be rapidly identified and corrected. <br /> <br />To ensure proper effectiveness of inspections, SMG will develop a Master Inspection <br />Schedule. This Schedule will provide details and summarize the areas to be inspected on <br />a monthly basis. The Schedule will include: <br /> <br />. area to be inspected <br />. type/kind of inspection to be performed <br />. frequency of inspection <br /> <br />Simply, the Schedule identifies: who - will be performing the inspection, what - will be <br />inspected and when - it will be inspected. <br /> <br />Management Acts - This discussion would not be complete without addressing the <br />management acts needed to ensure adherence to performance standards. These acts <br />are often times not viewed as being part of quality control. Alternatively, SMG views them <br />as a fundamental aspect of quality control; so fundamental that we view them as the key <br />ingredient to completion of our Total Quality approach to quality control. Simply defined, <br />these acts are the corporate and project management methods, policies and procedures <br />needed to ensure successful day-to-day operations. A few of these acts include our: <br /> <br />~ Staffing Plan <br />~ Cost Control <br />~ Total Employee Involvement (TEl) - incorporation of all SMG employees into <br />the quality control organization, e.g., "ownership" of work, self-inspections, <br />etc.. .. <br /> <br />These acts are first identified and covered during our initial training/orientation sessions <br />during phase-in. <br />What makes all the difference is that these acts are reinforced during ongoing/refresher <br />training a minimum of quarterly throughout the contract term. The objective/philosophy of <br />this training is to develop and maintain a Total Quality approach to task accomplishment. <br />This "upfront" emphasis on quality control reduces the reliance on the more reactive <br />method of surveillance/inspections. The reason this occurs is quality is engrained in the <br />management acts thereby making the process itself quality-oriented. Simply, quality <br />becomes instinctive. <br /> <br />15 <br />
