Russo, City Manager <br /> FROM: Susan Simpson, Cultural and Community Services <br /> Director <br /> DATE: 9/15/2016 <br /> Ninth Amendment to the Agreement with Luke's <br /> RE Sawgrass Landscaping, Inc for Citywide Professional <br /> Landscaping Maintenance, Irrigation and Arborist <br /> Services in an Amount Not to Exceed $886,629.00. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> This item is presented for your consideration. <br /> REASONS: <br /> Through Bid Number 12-05-01, the City entered into an agreement with <br /> Luke's Sawgrass Landscaping to provide landscaping maintenance, <br /> irrigation, and arborist services citywide. The City wishes to exercise its <br /> 4th and final one year renewal. <br /> Through an assessment of what is currently existing within our City, what <br /> is anticipated when opening Gateway Park, 174th Street, and Samson <br /> Oceanfront Park, and using the base pricing in the bid, City staff <br /> estimates the cost of all on-going maintenance, arborist and irrigation <br /> work as well as anticipated repairs and plantings not to exceed <br /> $886,629.00 for fiscal year 2016-2017. <br /> ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br /> Increases to this year's on-going regular maintenance is mainly <br /> contributed to the increase in plant material when the City assumes <br /> 534 <br />
