It has a lot of curb and gutter but type S-l asphalt concrete is not recommended to be used to <br />mix for this final course any more. <br />Use of Type S-1 mix in final course is approved by Miami-Dade County. <br /> <br />17. We need clarification on doing half of the street then the other half. In bidder's opinion, it <br />won't work! <br />The Contractor may provide its own MOT plans. City will review and approve, as <br />required, but access must be maintained for residents at all times. <br /> <br />18. What is the City's estimate for this project? <br />$3.9 Million Dollars. <br /> <br />19. Are there any restrictions for noise or lane closures? <br />Specific working hours are indicated in the bid documents; however, the City will <br />consider special circumstances. Both extended work hours and lane closure permits <br />are handled by Robert Solera, Community Development Director, who may be reached <br />at (305) 792-1789 or rsolera(a),sibfl.net. <br /> <br />20. Is there any incentive/disincentive for damages or liquidated damages? <br />YES, liquidated damages. The incentive is limited to $1,500 per day, not to exceed <br />$100,000.00, if job is completed before the end date and the project is ready before the <br />final payment date. <br /> <br />21. Quality control of product by the City or contractor? <br />The contractor is responsible for quality control. The City reserves the right to verify <br />all products. <br /> <br />22. Does that include asphalt? <br />YES. <br /> <br />23. Is there any known contamination? <br />NO. <br /> <br />24. Drainage Wells: Add a lump sum on each? Include structure? There is no information on <br />the well itself. Is it longer or shorter than 200',120' ISO'? <br />Payment for drainage wells was itemized. Refer to Summary of Quantities sheet. <br /> <br />25. The plan indicated a significant band of muck. It is marked as an elevation. This may not be <br />desirable where drainage is: excavation item to use for removal and disposal? <br />Refer to Sheet 37 for pipe bedding. Also, see note #17 on Sheet # 5 <br /> <br />26.
