<br />Management of Traffic (MOT) plan. Maintenance of Traffic shall be in accordance with the <br />current edition of the Florida DOT Design Standards (600 series), the Standard Specification for <br />Road and Bridge Construction, and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, as a minimum <br />criteria. This note should be included under all bid items that may include a work on FDOT <br />roadways. All traffic control costs shall be a part of the unit price bid and shall not be paid for <br />separately. <br /> <br />G. BEACH & BEACH ACCESS PATHS <br /> <br />G1. This bid item is to include the supplying of all necessary materials, supplies, labor, equipment, fuel, <br />and other miscellaneous necessities to fully maintain clean City Beaches. This work shall include, <br />but not be limited to, litter and trash removal and mechanized raking. The intent of this <br />description is to convey the requirement that the public beaches within the City shall be <br />maintained to a superior level such that they are the viewed by the public as the best maintained <br />in Southern Florida. It is this standard that will be required of the Bidder. <br /> <br />G2. through G21. This bid item is to include the supplying of all necessary materials, supplies, labor, <br />equipment, fuel, and other miscellaneous necessities to fully maintain the general condition of <br />the City Beach Access Paths listed in this group. This work shall include, but not be limited to, <br />weeding, mowing all grass such that it never exceeds 4 inches in height under normal conditions <br />or 5 inches in height under drought conditions, trimming all hedges, irrigating (including the full <br />maintenance and repair of the irrigation system itself) all landscaped areas, maintaining and <br />replacing (if necessary) any plants, removing all graffiti within twenty-four hours, blowing <br />sidewalks daily, power washing sidewalks once a month, daily removal of all litter, daily cleaning <br />and maintenance of all trash receptacles (where they exist), and daily inspection of all lighting <br />and path appurtenances. <br /> <br />The intent of this description is to convey the requirement that the paths listed in this section shall <br />be maintained to a superior level such that they are the viewed by the public as the best <br />maintained in the area. It is this standard that will be required of the Bidder. <br /> <br />The supplying and placing of this item is separate and unique from the special bid items also listed <br />in this package and the bid price shown for this item will be considered full and total payment for <br />all normal ongoing operations. For any additional payments under this item, or any other, the <br />service must be specifically requested by the City for a unique and specific task. <br /> <br />H. BUS SHELTER AND BENCH LOCATIONS <br /> <br />H1. through H13. This bid item is to include the supplying of all necessary materials, supplies, labor, <br />equipment, fuel, and other miscellaneous necessities to routinely maintain the general condition <br />of the City Bus Shelters and Bus Benches listed in this group. This work shall include, but not be <br />limited to, weeding all locations, irrigating (including the full maintenance and repair of the <br />irrigation system itself) all landscaped areas (where they exist), removing all graffiti within <br />twenty-four hours, blowing the adjacent sidewalks daily, power washing sidewalks once a month, <br />daily removal of all litter, daily cleaning and maintenance of all trash receptacles (where they <br />exist), and daily inspection of all lighting, and shelter or bench appurtenances (including making <br />any necessary repairs). <br /> <br />The intent of this description is to convey the requirement that the shelters and benches listed in <br />this section shall be maintained to a superior level such that they are the viewed by the public as <br />the best maintained in the area.
