<br />In support of Task Force Hope, Malcolm Pimie was contracted to provide
<br />quality assurance services for an estimated 26 million cubic yards of debris
<br />in II counties and five cities for HUITicane Katrina Recovery Efforts in
<br />Mississippi, Under this unique contract, we were required to provide over
<br />480 field personnel to inspect temporary roofing, debris removal operations
<br />and general construction including demolition, Within days of contract
<br />award Malcolm Pimie mobilized a core group of engineers and scientists to
<br />set up operations in the hurricane disaster area, This core group recruited,
<br />interviewed and trained a large temporary workforce of local residents, most of which had been affected by the Hurricane,
<br />Not only were we able to meet all of the contract requirements on this fast-paced emergency effort but we were also able to
<br />provide a significant boost to the local economy by hiring local individuals and small local firms to support our efforts,
<br />The contract was initiated in December 2005 and included providing over 100 USACE trained Quality Assurance
<br />Representatives within 2 days of Notice to Proceed, Within 3 weeks we were able to
<br />provide over 480 staff. Malcolm Pimie provided 8 full-time management staff and
<br />over 40 team leaders to manage the efforts in the field, We were able to provide
<br />program and contract management out of our existing Mobile, AL office (within 50
<br />miles of Task Force Hope HQ at Kessler AFB, Biloxi, MS). In addition we set up two
<br />field operations offices, one in Biloxi just 10 minutes from the Corps office and
<br />another in Hattiesburg, MS within 5 minutes of the Corps office there.
<br />Malcolm Pimie provided quality assurance monitoring for the largest debris removal
<br />operation in United States history. The services under this contract included:

<br />. Inspection of debris contractors' work to verify conformity with requirements of their contract for debris removal from
<br />rights-of way, beaches and waterways, and rights-of entry for private and commercial properties,

<br />. Assisting with daily operational planning of the rights-of-way and right-of-entry missions, including assigning
<br />personnel, structuring teams, coordinating with debris contractor representatives, monitoring load and disposal
<br />operations, and providing daily briefing materials.

<br />. Maintaining inspection records.
<br />
<br />. Preparing reports of inspections, identi fying items that have been satisfactorily inspected, and those which require
<br />correction in accordance with established guidelines,

<br />. Assisting the USACE Resident Engineer in dealings with officials of other agencies (Federal and/or State) who are
<br />vested with authority to enforce requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, and the U.S, Army
