(SRI) in partnership with Malcolm Pirnie, Inc., was awarded a pre-event contract by Hillsborough <br />County to provide comprehensive debris management services following Hurricanes Charley and Frances. In this project, SRI <br />supplied all 120 personnel to monitor the removal of 1 million cubic yards of debris by 1,100 debris removal trucks. Other services <br />supplied by SRI staff included: <br /> <br />. Pre-event planning <br />. County staff training <br />. County.wide needs assessment and modeling <br />. County debris management plan with standard operating procedures <br />. General engineering and site permitting <br />. Post-disaster project management <br />. Mobilization and coordination of resources <br />. Debris removal contract management <br />. Operations management <br />. Field monitoring <br />. Disposal site monitoring <br />. Customer service support and follow-up <br />. Documentation summaries <br />. Data management <br />. Billing and invoicing review and reconciling <br />. Public Assistance program expertise <br /> <br />Shortly thereafter, the contract was activated and the county utilized all of the above services. SRI was tasked to mobilize debris <br />managers and monitors two days before Hurricane Charley made landfall. At that time, the storm's track was projected to hit <br />Hillsborough County. SRI's project manager remained in the Hillsborough County Emergency Operations Center, prepared to stay <br />through the storm with county staff and provide real.time assistance. Other key SRI staff and a core team of debris monitors were <br />prepared to join them immediately following the storm. <br /> <br />Following Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne, SRI provided all field and tower monitors, residential drop off site monitors, field <br />supervisors, operations manager and data entry personnel to assist the county in the recovery process. <br /> <br />25.
