The meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m. with the following City staff <br /> <br />present: <br /> <br />Rick Conner, City Engineer/Public Works Director <br />Shaun Gelvez, Assistant to Public Works Director <br />Mauricio Betancur, Administrative Coordinator, City Clerk's Office <br /> <br />DISCUSSION. <br /> <br />Rick Conner, City Engineer/Public Works Director, introduced himself and proceeded to explain the <br />RFQ. <br /> <br />Rick Conner stated that the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") is looking for a firm that can guide us <br />through the bureaucracy, that can take us through the steps needed to get all the money due to us <br />from FEMA in case of a disaster, and that can clean up the city in a safe and timely maimer. <br /> <br />It was explained that the City wants the firm to be able to do three things: (1) develop an approved <br />Debris Management Plan; (2) help the City prepare a Request for Proposals for Debris Removal; and <br />(3) manage and execute the process in the event that we have to take those steps. <br /> <br />Rick Conner proceeded to explain the scoring sheet and suggested that the firms strictly follow the <br />criteria set forth in the scoring sheet. The firms should consider using the numbering system as it is <br />shown on the scoring sheet. <br /> <br />QUESTIONS. <br /> <br />1. The packet asks for the proposal to be submitted in a "soft cover stack." <br />"soft cover stack"? <br /> <br />at is meant by <br /> <br />No three ring binders.
