Approximately 3,000 linear feet of chilled water piping was <br />supported on the existing roof to distribute the chilled water to eight concourses. The existing structure <br />was analyzed and devices designed to safely distribute this new load. Total construction cost for this <br />project was $65 million. <br /> <br />Krome Avenue (SR 997) at Tamiami Trail (Florida Department of <br />Transportation, District VI), Miami Dade County. Improvements included <br />roadway and bridge widening, roadway intersection design, signing and <br />pavement marking, drainage, lighting and signalization design. We also <br />provide permit applications with various agencies, including wetland impact <br />assessment and remediation asstance. <br /> <br /> <br />SR 836 Reconstruction from NW 27th Avenue Including Toll Plaza, Miami t <br />Dade Expressway Authority. Berger Avart, as a sub-consultant to MK <br />Centennial, provided CEI services on a $35 million reconstruction job for the If <br />Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX) on SR 836 from NW 2th Avenue <br />including toll plaza reconstruction. The objective of the project was to improve _ <br />the level of service, through the utilization of the "Express Sun Pass Lanes" ~ <br />(Automated Vehicle Identification-A VI) and increasing the processing capacity <br />at the toll from 7,350 vehicles per hour to 12,400 vehicles per hour. <br /> <br /> <br />SR 973-Sunset Drive & Galloway Road Intersection Improvements <br />(FDOT, District VI), Miami-Dade County. This urban RRR project includes <br />roadway widening, signing & pavement marking, lighting, signalization and <br />landscape components. Construction administration services were also <br />included. <br /> <br /> <br />Lakeview Elementary School Drainage Improvements, Miami-Dade County Public Schools. <br />Improvements for court yard, parking lots and playfield were proposed to eliminate the flooding <br />condition during heavy rain storm. <br /> <br />Countywide Drainage and Canal Dredging, Miami, FL, Miami-Dade County Department of <br />Environmental Regulations Management (DERM). We provided construction management services <br />for the repair of infrastructure damage as a result of severe flooding. The projects include placing <br />exfiltration trenches and other drainage systems throughout Miami-Dade County to reduce flooding and <br />related property damage from future storms. Also included in this contract is the design, construction <br />inspection and administration on several canal dredging projects throughout Miami-Dade County. The <br />construction cost for this project was $5 million. <br /> <br />Enhanced Hurricane Protection Area (EHPA) Design, Various Schools, School Board Broward <br />County. Berger Avart provides field inspection, report, design, permitting and construction inspection <br />for the roof top equipment protection plans, for EHPA. <br /> <br />Lake Stevens Parent Drop Off, Miami Dade County Public Schools: <br />provided the design of a 600 foot parent-student drop-off including <br />passing lanes, sidewalk curb and gutter section. A canopy was designed <br />to cover sidewalk leading to main building. Engineering involved paving, <br />drainage, grading, irrigation and landscaping.
