BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope. size, and cost) <br />The project consists of twin 40-story residential towers constructed seaward of Collins <br />Avenue within Sunny Isles Beach. The foundation design for this project consists of the use <br />of 24-inch-diameter, 95-ft-long augered cast-in-place (ACIP) piles extended beyond the <br />shallower sand and weakly cemented layers typically encountered in the Sunny Isles Beach <br />area. The settlement of the towers was monitored during construction, and the towers <br />settled between 2.5 and 5 inches. <br /> <br />Langan's environmental involvement included a Phase I/Phase II environmental site <br />assessment, as well as underground storage tank closure assessment reports associated <br />with the removal of three underground tanks encountered during construction.
