Cubellis is immediately available to begin working on the project and excited by the opportunity to create an appropriate well-designed and cost effective park facility as well as a parking garage for the City. The needs of the City of Sunny Isles Beach will be given the utmost priority. b. The firm's ability to keep staff readily available for the project. Cubellis is located a mere 13 miles away from the project site and our office has direct access to 1-95, we will be available on-site, as required, within 22 minutes. Many of our team members live in North Dade and can be there at a moments notice. 5. EXPERIENCE with SUNNY ISLES BEACH a. The firm's familiarity/experience with Sunny Isles Beach construction codes. Cubellis is currently providing design services with the City of Sunny Isles Beach making a variety of functional and practical improvements to the existing City Hall Building. As a result, we have an established working relationship with the City Staff, as well as the agencies associated with the permitting process in the City, namely the City of Sunny Isles Beach Building Department, the Miami-Dade Fire Marshall's office, DERM and MD-WASD. . In addition, Shahin Hekmat with Eisman & Russo has been involved in many of the City's capital project in the past few years and was directly involved in project such as the 172nd Avenue Road Improvement and the Atlantic Avenue Sewer Collection and Road Improvement. O'Leary Richards Design Associates, Inc. has been providing Landscape Architectural services to the City of Sunny Isles Beach for many years completing the Collins Avenue median landscape design and the median redesign of the City Hall Complex. O'Leary Richards Design Associates, Inc. is currently working on landscape design concepts for Collins Avenue and have completed similar projects for City of Aventura (Biscayne Boulevard) and Village of Bal Harbor (Collins Avenue/A 1 A). Nutting Engineers of Florida, Inc. have also been involved in many projects in the City of Sunny Isles Beach, most recently they completed a phase 1/11 environmental assessment as well as geotechnical exploration, pile load test and monitoring, materials testing and roof fastener uplift test for the Active Park. Our knowledge of applicable state and national building codes, the Florida Building Code (FBC), the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) coupled with our "constructability" experience separates us from our colleagues and provides an "edge" that our Municipal clients appreciate. b. The firm's familiarity/experience with Sunny Isles Beach development codes. . Cubellis and the team of design professionals are familiar with the City of Sunny Isles Beach's Development and Zoning Codes. Our Landscape Architect, O'Leary Richards Design Associates, Inc., in fact performs the landscape architectural plan review and inspection services to the City of Sunny Isles Beach, as well as provides landscape services on many of the City's capital improvements - 10- cubellis.
