The project manager's specific technical competency. The Project Manager from Cubellis for the Heritage Park project will be Merrill Romanik, AlA. Merrill is one of the Principals of Cubellis, who is both a licensed Architect and an Interior Designer. In addition to her Architectural degrees, Merrill holds a Masters degree in Building Construction creating an informed and comprehensive understanding of the entire building process. With over 15-years experience in both architecture and interiors, Merrill contributes her integrated approach to the Fort Lauderdale office by managing the municipal practice group. She has successfully completed 77 municipal projects in South Florida, inclusive of parks and recreation facilities, police stations, fire stations, city hall and community service facilities. Client satisfaction is of utmost priority to Merrill. Her communication and leadership skills provide a clear vision of what is necessary to achieve the goals of the City and the community served. She will approach the project with the recognition that the spaces we create and the environments we shape have a profound impact on the people who use them and will fulfill the project goals and aspirations by engaging our clients in a dynamic, inclusive, and creative partnership with the design team throughout the planning and design process. As project manager she comes with a background of substantial experience, which allows her to be extremely instrumental in the success of any given project and she will be focused on providing the necessary expertise in order to get the job done. . Shahin Hekmat, P. E. will be the point of contact with the City of Sunny Isles Beach from a Civil Engineering standpoint. Shahin has been involved in many projects with the City for more than three years and helped prepare the City's Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and the associated budget. Shahin is experienced in the planning, design, permitting, bidding, award and all aspects of construction administration in the South Florida Area. Shahin has been involved in municipal projects and agencies since 1990. He was the City Engineer for City of Weston, the District consultant with South Broward Drainage District and has been involved as an in-house consultant to many other cities' such as Lauderhill, North Lauderdale, Miramar, Pembroke Pines, Dania Beach and Sunny Isles Beach. He has also been involved in preparing and presenting project scope, funding and needs in a large public forum as well as one-on-one with public officials and community leaders. . - 4 - cubellis.
