<br />Designed on a fast-track schedule, the 410,000 square foot
<br />American Automobile Association corporate headquarters
<br />sits on a 39-acre site near Orlando. Spillis Candela DMJM
<br />was responsible for full architectural and engineering
<br />services, interior design, and construction administration.
<br />The building successfully responds to the client's requests
<br />for a large flexible floor plate, "high image" design, and strict
<br />adherence to budget constraints.
<br />

<br />The program for a large 550,000 square foot regional insurance
<br />headquarters in suburban Tampa calls for a data-voice center,
<br />employee cafeteria, fitness center, clinic, credit union, drive-in
<br />claims center, maintenance offices and workshop. The seven-
<br />story office building is connected on the first three floors for
<br />pedestrian walk-through to a six story, 600,000 square foot,
<br />1,700-space parking garage.

<br />As a result of on-going hospital expansion being designed by
<br />Spillis Candela DMJM, parking "on-grade" will be significantly
<br />reduced, therefore Spillis Candela was requested to design a
<br />1 ,200-car precast concrete parking garage incorporated into
<br />what will be a central energy plant for the medical campus. The
<br />schematic design of the garage was required to be expandable
<br />to 2,000-cars.
