<br />. <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />"WAVE WALL" USED TO SECURE AND DEFINE A SURFACE PARKING LOT ON <br />WATSON ISLAND <br /> <br />Rosenberg Gardner Design's role in this project will be performed in <br />two aspects. Primarily, RGD will be part of the team in the creating of <br />the master site plan. This project must receive input from all <br />disciplines to ensure that all of their individual requirements are <br />coordinated carefully in the design in the early stages. RGD will <br />provide its expertise in site planning by assisting in the location and <br />layout of the garage, public works facilities, interior site circulation and <br />placement of the individual park amenities (i.e. picnic shelters, <br />playgrounds, art features, etc.). Not only is "fitting" all of the required <br />amenities into the site to be taken into consideration, but of equal <br />importance are the issues of creating compatible uses within the site <br />and with adjacent sites, the creation of view corridors and buffers and <br />allowing for the future safety of the park by incorporating Crime <br />Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles. <br /> <br />As the design proceeds, Rosenberg Gardner Design, as well as the <br />rest of the design team, will work with the City and interested <br />neighborhood groups in gathering a consensus to program elements <br />and ensuring connectivity and compatibility to nearby neighborhoods. <br />It is always important to remember that a park is for the residents and <br />must encompass their wishes and desires, of course within the <br />framework of the City's abilities. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />As the design process progresses Rosenberg Gardner Design will <br />move into the next phase of their work which is preparing detailed <br /> <br />Page 7 of 13 <br />
