<br />,~ <br /> <br />"'-.r.fi> <br /> <br />~. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Recreation and Open Space <br /> <br />... <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />... <br /> <br />The purpose of this section is to provide an inventory of public recreational facilities and to present <br />an analysis of existing and future recreational needs within the City in accordance with Chapter 163 <br />F.S. and Rule 9J-5. <br /> <br />.... <br /> <br />.... <br /> <br />Municipal Parks <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />The City has four municipal parks. Two of these are Gilbert Samson Park, located on the beach <br />across from Sunny Isles Boulevard, and Park Ocean Front, which is located on the beach across <br />from 174th Street. Gilbert Samson Park has parking for approximatdy 50 vehicles. The total acreage <br />for existing and future parks totals approximatdy sixteen. <br /> <br />.., <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />The City is desirous of expanding its available park space particularly along the ocean and in <br />association with the proposed municipal complex. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />Beach Access Points <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Public access to the City's ninety-eight acres of beach is provided by easements for ingress and <br />egress.
