It is the goal of the City to promote cooperation between Sunny <br />Isles Beach., neighboring communities, regional agencies and the State of Florida. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Intergovernmental Coordination Inventory and Analysis <br /> <br />. <br />. <br /> <br />This section provides a listing of agencies, departments, municipalities, units of government, boards <br />and public and private service providers having a substantive rdationship with the City. It also <br />provides an analysis of those rdationships. This information is presented in accordance with Rule <br />9J-5.015(1)(a)(b ). <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />.. <br />.. <br /> <br />Miami Dade County provides a variety of services to the City and its citizens. Bdow is a listing of <br />those agencies and boards that have a direct rdationship with the City. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />. Department of Environmental Resource Management (DERM) - Environmental issues <br />throughout the County fall under the responsibility of DERM. Within the City, these include <br />any coastal construction and dredge and fill permits. DERM also enforces the County's tree <br />preservation ordinance. Communication and coordination between the City and DERM is <br />accomplished through correspondence, meetings and the NPDES permit process. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />. Water and Sewer Authority (WASDA) - The City's sanitary sewer service is provided and <br />maintained by W ASDA. Meetings and memorandums provide the basis of coordination. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />... <br />.. <br /> <br />. Miami Dade Transit Agency (MDTA) - Mass transit throughout the County is provided <br />through MDTA. This includes bus and Metro-Rail systems. The City reviews and comments on <br />transit rdated needs during the devdopment of annual transit plans. The City also attends <br />meetings dealing with local needs and services. <br /> <br />.. <br />.. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />. Public Wodes Department - This County agency is responsible for the installation and <br />maintenance of the County's infrastructure system including facilities within the City. <br />Coordination between the City and the department is maintained through meetings and <br />correspondence. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />. Parks and Recreation - This department is responsible for the provision of park and recreational <br />facilities and activities throughout the County.
