To facilitate post-disaster recovery and redevelopment following a major <br />hurricane and consistent with available personnel and funding, the City <br />shall cooperate with the County in the implementation of the County's <br />Hazard Mitigation and Post-Disaster Redevelopment Plan. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />8B. During post-disaster recovery periods, the City shall identify damaged <br />areas requiring rehabilitation or redevelopment; implement the <br />redevelopment plan to reduce or eliminate future exposure of life and <br />property to hurricanes; analyze and recommend to the City Commission <br />hazard mitigation options for damaged areas and public facilities; and <br />recommend amendments, if needed, to the City's Comprehensive <br />Development Master Plan. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />8C. If rebuilt, structures with damage exceeding 50 percent of pre-storm <br />market value shall be reconstrUcted to insure compliance with the South <br />Florida Building Code and the requirements of Chapter ll-C of the Code <br />for strUCtures located in the 'V" Zone and the lOO-year floodplain. The <br />City shall implement uniform spatial and engineering standards for <br />determining if substantial reconstruction is required. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />., <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />8D.
