<br />Section 509: Engineering Permits. <br /> <br />509.1 Pur,pose. The review of engineering plans and subdivision plans by the <br />City and the issuance of the appropriate permits is required to ensure that <br />all work is performed in conformance with accepted engineering standards <br />and practices, and City specifications; and that all work is completed in a <br />timely manner. <br /> <br />509.2 Engineering Construction Permit. No land development activity including, <br />without limitations: clearing and grubbing; :fil1ing or excavation work; road <br />construction; underground utility installation and/or rehabilitation; and/or <br />other development, construction or improvement activity shall commence <br />without first obtaining engineering plan approval, an engineering <br />construction permit, and paying the appropriate fee and bond as required. <br /> <br />509.3 Engineering Excavation Permit. No excavation shall commence without <br />first obtaining engineering plan approval of the excavation activity, an <br />engineering excavation permit, and paying the appropriate fee and bond as <br />required. <br /> <br />509.4 Annual Permit for Excavation. An annually renewable engineering permit <br />issued in accordance with the regulations of this chapter shall not be <br />transferable and shall be obtained prior to commencing any excavation or <br />resource extraction activity pursuant to this chapter. Said permit shall be <br />renewed on the first day of each calendar year, subject to compliance with <br />all City requirements and regulations and the payment of any required fees <br />and bond as required. <br /> <br />509.5 Engineering Right-of-Way Crossing Permits. No right-of-way crossings <br />that involve the cutting or removal of pavements shall commence without <br />first obtaining plan approval, an engineering right-of-way crossing permit, <br />and paying the appropriate fee and bond as required. <br /> <br />509.6 Revocation of Engineering Permits. The City may revoke an engineering <br />permit pursuant to any of the following situations: <br /> <br />a. City final plat approval has expired. <br /> <br />b.
