Parker, Building Official/Administrator\ <br />\..,._..~ <br /> <br />December 14,2006 <br /> <br />Revision to Building Department's Fee Schedule <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission approves the attached Ordinance <br />proposing a revision of the City of Sunny Isles Building Department's Fee Schedule. <br /> <br />REASON (5): <br /> <br />The Building Department, as directed by Chapter 156-2 of the Chapter and Code of the <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach, has reviewed the Department's Fee Schedule and has made <br />some minor adjustments to reflect the needs of the City, the Department, and the <br />community as a whole. <br /> <br />Among the proposed changes incorporated in the fee schedule as requested ,by the City <br />Commission at the November 16th 2006 Commission Meeting, the Building Department <br />has rounded off to the nearest dollar some of its fees. After carefully reviewing the <br />schedule; fees which are calculated per square footage, per lineal footage, per ton, per <br />Horse Power, per thousand dollars of estimated job value or fractional part thereof, or <br />fees calculated per one hundred dollars of job value or fractional part thereof; remained <br />unchanged. Rounding these figures up or down to the nearest dollar, depending on the <br />case, will cause a great monetary impact to either the residents or the City.
