[City Clerk's Note: These documents were distributed at the Commission Workshop on February 13, 2009.] Additional Information: Item 5A Audit Report, with revised Memorandum; Add-On: Item 10Q Payment to Atlantic Broadband, Action: Mayor Edelcup noted the above changes to the agenda, Vice Mayor Thaler moved and Commissioner Goodman seconded a motion to approve the above changes to the agenda. The motion was approved by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. 5. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS SA. Presentation of the City of Sunny Isles Beach Audit Report for Fiscal Year 2007/2008, Action: [City Clerk's Note: A revised memorandum and additional information was distributed prior to the meeting. See action under Item 4A.] Assistant City Manager/Finance Doug Haag introduced Gerry Chioca, City Auditor of Rachlin LLC, who presented the City of Sunny Isles Beach Audit Report for Fiscal Year 2007/2008, and said the City is in very good financial shape, He noted on page 53 a recommendation for the Assistant City Manager/Finance to review and sign-off on the bank reconciliations, and Assistant City Manager Haag immediately implemented this formal policy, Mr, Chioca said this was a very clean audit, it went very well, and he thanked Assistant City Manager/Finance Doug Haag, Assistant Finance Director Linda Dosal, and staff for all their hard work. Commissioner Scholl moved and Vice Mayor Thaler seconded a motion to accept the Audit Report for Fiscal Year 2007/2008. The motion was approved by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. 5B. Presentation of a FlagIPlaque by Army Sergeant Nick Perdomo to the City of Sunny Isles Beach through the Building Department Action: Building Official Clayton L. Parker said he was unable to contact Sgt Perdomo who may be out of the country, Mayor Edelcup said whenever Sgt, Perdomo is available to let the City Clerk know to put the presentation back on the agenda, 5C. Presentation of Artwork by Charles Wachsberg to the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Action: Mayor Edelcup introduced Artist Charles Wachsberg who presented the City with his original painting of the beach, He said he will be painting a 20-foot mural similar to this painting for the wall at the Sunny Isles Beach Community School. Mayor Ede1cup thanked Mr. Wachsberg and his wife Anna, and noted that he also painted the City Seal back in 1997, 6. ZONING None 2
