<br />- <br /> <br />Summary Minutes: Regular City Commission Meeting February 19, 2009 <br /> <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida <br /> <br />submitted that was never executed, but if the school can provide documentation then we will <br />pay it He asked that the Commission approve this full amount just in case they can verify <br />documentation on the $33,441, otherwise our intent is to pay the $721,302, <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Thaler moved and Commissioner Goodman seconded a motion to approve the <br />resolution. Resolution No. 2009-1384 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />Mayor Edelcup said when we entered into an Interlocal Agreement with the School Board <br />they were to use Pelican Community Park and reimburse us for the costs associated with <br />operating the Park for their benefit, He asked if we have billed the School yet and how can <br />we be assured that we are collecting from them, and Cultural and Human Services Director <br />Susan Simpson said a letter was sent to them about two months ago asking for an amount <br />just over $200,000 for the entire school year. Mayor Edelcup asked that she get confirmation <br />on that letter and payment before making the above disbursement. Mayor Edelcup asked if <br />we have used their facility, and Ms, Simpson said we are using it after school hours for our <br />Drama Club and a dance class, However, the School Board cannot bill the City for use of <br />the school as we are maintaining it. <br /> <br />10J. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Ratifying the <br />Approval of the Agreement Between Fortin, Leavy, Skiles, Inc. and the City of Sunny <br />Isles Beach, to Provide Platting Services for the Government Center, in the Amount Not <br />to Exceed $25,000,00, Attached Hereto as Exhibit "A"; Authorizing the City Manager and/or <br />Designee to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an <br />Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Assistant City Manager Vera reported noting <br />that the rep1atting of the City Government Parcel will provide Tony Roma's with their own <br />tax folio number so they will be taxed separately, and we can claim the full tax exemption for <br />this Government site, <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Commissioner Scholl moved and Commissioner Brezin seconded a motion to approve the <br />resolution. Resolution No. 2009-1385 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />10K. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Ratifying the <br />Granting of the Warranty Deed to Miami-Dade County for the Property Known as <br />Atlantic Island, Sunny Isles Lift Station Parcell for Use by the Miami-Dade Water and <br />Sewer Department; Providing the City Manager and the City Attorney with the Authority to <br />Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date, <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Assistant City Manager Vera reported that this is <br />part of the Atlantic Isle Sewer and Drainage Project. The County requested that we deed that <br />property to them, and on Tuesday we received approval from Atlantic Isle for their portion of <br />the site to be deeded to the County. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Thaler moved and Commissioner Brezin seconded a motion to approve the <br />resolution.
