<br />Summary Minutes: Regular City Commission Meeting February 19,2009 <br /> <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida <br /> <br />10L. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Approving <br />the Purchase of a Prefabricated Restroom Unit from AES Precast Company, Inc. for <br />the Senator Gwen Margolis Park, in an Amount Not to Exceed $53,800,00; Authorizing <br />the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an <br />Effective Date, <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Acting City Manager Conner reported, He <br />presented a power-point/color photo of the unit in Town Center Park which is identical to <br />what we will have in Senator Gwen Margolis Park but it will be one-foot wider. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Thaler asked when the project will be completed, and Acting City Manager <br />Conner said the completion date is Fall of2009, and we will be well within that parameter. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brezin moved and Vice Mayor Thaler seconded a motion to approve the <br />resolution. Resolution No. 2009-1387 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />10M. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Approving <br />the Second Amendment to Agreement with B & G Fences, Corp., to Provide Furnishing <br />and the Installation of Fencing for the Parking Area of Avila North, in an Amount Not <br />to Exceed $29,500,00, Attached Hereto as Exhibit "A"; Authorizing the Mayor to Execute <br />Said Second Amendment to Agreement; Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things <br />Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Assistant City Manager Vera reported that this is <br />a six-foot high picket fence like the ones we have in the medians with double gates for entry, <br />and he noted that the "Municipal Parking" sign has been ordered, <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Thaler asked when this project will be completed, and Mr. Vera said the fence <br />will be done this week. Acting City Manager Conner said we have other work to do on this <br />lot including the lift station and drainage system, and no timeline has been established but it <br />will be opened for the City's Anniversary Party in June, Community Development Director <br />Robert Solera noted that the Master Meter has been ordered for this lot. Mayor Ede1cup said <br />to make a real effort to get this project finished before June, <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Thaler moved and Commissioner Brezin seconded a motion to approve the <br />resolution. Resolution No. 2009-1388 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />ION. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Approving a <br />First Amendment to Agreement with Southeastern Engineering Contractors, Inc. to <br />Construct a New Retaining Wall at Oceania Park, in an Amount Not to Exceed <br />$4,494.49, Attached Hereto as Exhibit "A"; Authorizing the Mayor to Execute Said First <br />Amendment to Agreement; Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to <br />Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Acting City Manager Conner reported and noted <br />that staff caused an internal complication partly because of the design, <br /> <br />8 <br />
