<br />Summary Minutes: Regular City Commission Meeting March 19, 2009 <br /> <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida <br /> <br />lODe A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Approving <br />an Agreement with AMC Medical Transportation for Transportation Services for <br />Qualified Residents to Mount Sinai Medical Center, for the Following Flat Rates per <br />One-Way Trip: Ambulatory $20.00, Wheelchair $30.00, and Stretcher $60.00, for One Year <br />with Option to Renew Annually, Attached Hereto as Exhibit "A"; Authorizing the Mayor to <br />Execute Said Agreement; Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to <br />Effectuate the Terms of this Agreement; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Acting City Manager Conner reported, and <br />emphasized that Cultural and Human Services Director Susan Simpson and her staff are <br />looking at alternatives to provide this service directly through the City. He noted that the <br />contract has the ability to be terminated without cause within 60 days. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Thaler moved and Commissioner Brezin seconded a motion to approve this <br />resolution. Resolution No. 2009-1395 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />10E. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Approving <br />the First Amendment to Agreement with TRANE for Additional Services for the Air <br />Conditioning Unit at Pelican Community Park, in an Amount Not to Exceed $10,900.00, <br />Attached Hereto as Exhibit "A"; Authorizing the Expenditure of $4, 1 00.00 in Contingency <br />Funds; Authorizing the Mayor to Execute Said First Amendment to Agreement; Authorizing <br />the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an <br />Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Cultural and Human Services Director Susan <br />Simpson reported that this is for the purchase of computer equipment so they can manage the <br />air conditioning system without calling TRANE, and the additional monies are in case they <br />need parts before the end of the Fiscal Year. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Thaler moved and Commissioner Scholl seconded a motion to approve this <br />resolution. Resolution No. 2009-1396 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />10F. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Authorizing <br />the Purchase of One (I) Ford Fl50 Half-Ton Pickup Truck (4x4) and Spray-On Bed- <br />Liner from Gus Machado Ford for the Public Works Department, in an Amount Not to <br />Exceed $18,500.00, Attached Hereto as Exhibit "A"; Authorizing the City Manager to Do <br />All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Acting City Manager Rick Conner reported. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Commissioner Brezin moved and Vice Mayor Thaler seconded a motion to approve this <br />resolution.
