<br />Summary Minutes: Regular City Commission Meeting <br /> <br />June 17,2010 <br /> <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida <br /> <br />reported noting that a revised resolution was distributed prior to the meeting describing these <br />services. This amount covers everything on both projects, however, it does not include that <br />last item approved by Commission to take care of the section in front of the Eden Rock. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Thaler moved and Commissioner Scholl seconded a motion to approve this <br />resolution, as amended. Resolution No. 20 I 0-1571 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in <br />favor. <br /> <br />10E. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Approving <br />an Agreement with F. A. Johnson, Inc. for the Cleaning of Storm Water Drains and <br />Catch Basins and Jetting of Lines Throughout the City, in an Amount of$19,950.00 for <br />One Year with Option to Renew for an Additional Three (3), One-Year Terms, Attached <br />Hereto as Exhibit "A"; Authorizing the Mayor to Execute Said Agreement; Authorizing the <br />City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate the Terms of the Agreement; <br />Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: [City Clerk's Note: Additional Information (3 quotes) was distributed prior to the <br />meeting. See additional action under Item 4A.] City Clerk Hines read the title, and <br />Assistant City Manager Vera reported. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Thaler moved and Commissioner Brezin seconded a motion to approve this <br />resolution. Resolution No. 2010-1572 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />10F. A Resolution of the City Commission ofthe City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Ratifying the <br />Second Amendment to Agreement with Tenex Enterprises, Inc. for SR AlA/Collins <br />Avenue at 183 Street Streetscape Improvements Project to Include Brick Paver <br />Installation, in an Amount Not to Exceed $125,000.00, Attached Hereto as Exhibit "A"; <br />Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; <br />Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and City Manager Conner reported noting that the <br />actual cost is $121,732.50 with a small cushion to address any unknowns. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Thaler asked what the completion date is on this project, and City Manager <br />Conner said from the permit being issued, which should be next week, they have 60 days to <br />complete the project. He noted in the agreement it is stated that the contractor can earn <br />$6,000 for early completion for each work day that they complete early, and there is a <br />matching amount penalty for each calendar day that they are late. This is for things in the <br />right-of-way, the landscaping will be taken care of through most ofthe project by a private <br />donation, and the rest of it already has the landscaping requirements met. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brezin moved and Vice Mayor Thaler seconded a motion to approve this <br />resolution. Resolution No. 2010-1573 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />5 <br />
