<br />-- <br /> <br />Automatic Tag Rcaders <br />If this grant is approvcd and thc fedcral funds arc awardcd, The Sunny Isles Beach Policc Dcpartment <br />will submit a requcst within two wecks to purchasc thc Mobile Licensc Plate Readcrs utilizing thc city's <br />normal procuremcnt proccss. This projcct will be supcrviscd by the administrativc division of the policc <br />dcpartment and managed through the criminal invcstigations division. Once thc systems are install cd <br />and operational within 90 days of ordering, statistical data will bc gathered and monitored by our <br />criminal investigations division. After six (6) months of operation, Uniform Crime Reports will be <br />compared. <br />Defibrillators <br />If this grant is approved and the federal funds are awarded, The Sunny Isles Beach Policc Department <br />will submit a request within two weeks to purchase forty-eight (48) Automatic External Defibrillators <br />(AED's) utilizing the city's normal procurement process. This project will be supervised by the <br />administrative division of the police dcpartment, issued and maintained through the police quartcrmaster <br />and monitored by the Miami-Dade County Mcdical Review Physician. Once the dcfibrillators are <br />received, inventoried and tagged, they will be cleared by the medical revicw physician and should bc <br />issued to each officer within two weeks. Each and every use of the defibrillators will bc documented by <br />a police report as well as the data download from the defibrillators to be reviewed by the medical review <br />physician. <br />Advisory Radio Station <br />If this grant is approved and the federal funds arc awarded, The Sunny Islcs Beach Police Department <br />will submit a request within two weeks to purchase the Advisory Radio Station utilizing the city's <br />normal procurcment process. This project will be supcrvised by the administrative division of the police <br />department, but managed and opcratcd by the cities video services unit of the information tcchnology <br />department. Once the purchase order is issued by the city, application to the Federal Communications <br />Commission (FCC) will be made by the vcndor for an FCC License. This process takes approx. 2-4 <br />weeks. Once the license is issued, the advisory radio station should be fully installed and operational <br />within 90 days. <br />Uninterrupted Power Supply <br />If this grant is approved and thc federal funds are awarded, Thc Sunny Isles Beach Police Department <br />will submit a rcquest within two weeks to purchase the Unintcrrupted Power Supply utilizing the city's <br />normal procurement process. This project will be supcrvised by the administrative division of the police <br />department, but purchased, installed and operated by the city's information technology department. This <br />system will be operational within 45 days of ordering. <br /> <br />E. Evaluation Plan/Effectiveness of Program <br /> <br />[Responses are limited to a maximllm of 3.000 characters.) <br /> <br />x <br /> <br />F. Project Description (Narrative) Attachment <br /> <br />Child Sexual Predator Program (CSPP) and Community Policing Development (CPO) applicants must <br />submit their entire projcct description as an attachment in Section 13 of this application. <br />
