The City Commission has appointed you to the Historic Preservation Board to fill a <br />vacancy on that Board through April 2012 (normally a two (2) year term). Please be advised that Board <br />Members are governed by Chapter 74, the Rules of Procedure that govern the City Commission; Chapter <br />171, Historic Landmarks; and the Sunshine and Public Records Laws and Financial Disclosure <br />Requirements of the State of Florida. Attached are copies of the affecting Sunny Isles Beach legislation <br />and information on Sunshine and Public Records Laws for your reference. <br /> <br />The Historic Preservation Board normally meets about four (4) times a year, and an agenda is mailed to <br />you about two (2) weeks before the meeting. Board members who miss three (3) consecutive meetings <br />may be removed from office. Therefore, if you are unable to attend a meeting, please call me so that it <br />can be considered an excused absence. <br /> <br />Further, attached is a "Form 1 - Statement of Financial Interests" for you to complete. Historic <br />Preservation Board members have an annual financial disclosure filing requirement. You may mail your <br />completed form to me or bring it in the next time you are in City Hall in order to satisfy the requirement. <br />Additionally, attached is a copy of the current Historic Preservation Board Membership List. <br /> <br />If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. <br /> <br />~A~ <br /> <br />Jane A.
