<br />Richard "Dick" Bunnell <br />President of Bunnell Foundation, Inc <br /> <br />Mr. Bunnell was born in Miami, Florida in ] 943 and has been a resident of Miami with the <br />exception of High School in Naples, Florida. Mr. Bunnell's family has been involved in the <br />Heavy and Marine Construction business in South Florida sine ] 9] I. His grandfather was <br />involved in many projects with Henry Flagler, Carl Fisher, George Merrick, Julia Tuttle, and the <br />Brickells'. His father, George A. Bunnell, constructed foundations, marine construction and <br />swimming pools, including work on many Miami Landmarks such as the Fontainebleau Hotel, <br />Eden Roc Hotel, Orange Bowl, and many others. <br /> <br />Mr. Bunnell himself has been engaged in the same business in Miami for 35 years and he has <br />also constructed or been involved in the construction of many Miami landmarks as well: <br /> <br />Miami Beach Marina (City of Miami Beach) <br />Dinner Key Boatyard (City of Miami) <br />Coco plum Marina (Private) <br />Pelican Harbor (County Parks) <br />Elliot Key Marinas (Dept. of Interior) <br />Oceania Marina (Private) <br />Crandon Park Marinas (County Parks) <br />Key West Marriott (Private) <br />Villa Magna Private <br />Santa Maria Marina (Private) <br /> <br />Key West Marriott (Private) <br />Deering Bay Marina (Private) <br />Virrick Water Sports Center (City of Miami) <br />The Gables Marina (Private) <br />Matheson Hammock Marina (County Parks) <br />Dinner Key Marina (City of Miami) <br />Jade Seawall (Private) <br />Loft Marina Aventura (Private) <br />Artech Marina A ventura (Private) <br />Atrium Marina Aventura (Private) <br />360 Marina North Bay Village (Private) <br /> <br />Bunnell Foundation was a major contractor on the Metrorail in the early 80's and worked on all <br />phases of the first 20 miles. Bunnell Foundation has also been involved in many Public Works <br />Projects with the City of Miami, City of Miami Beach, and Dade County. <br /> <br />Mr. Bunnell received his state General Contractor's License in 1973 and also holds a Dade- <br />County General Engineering Contracting license. <br /> <br />Mr. Bunnell resides in Coconut Grove, and is a member of many organizations, including: <br /> <br />Miami River Marine Group (Treasurer) <br />Marine Counsel (Board Member) <br />Latin Builders Association <br />City of Miami Waterfront Advisory Board (Past Chairman) <br />Propeller Club (Maritime Person of the Year 2002) <br />Miami River Commission (Executive Committee 1999 to 2006) <br />Miami River Dredging Committee Chairman (Miami River Commission ] 999 to 2006) <br />A Major Sponsor of Shake-A-Leg of Miami <br /> <br />Higher Education: Miami-Dade Jr. College and University of Miami Engineering School <br /> <br />Previous to 1971, Mr. Bunnell was Vice-President of Lawrence Brill Engineering in Coral <br />Gables and Office Manager of Lloyd Vann Architect in 1965 <br /> <br />Military Service: <br /> <br />Navy "Seabees" Davisville, RI, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba 1961/1962. <br />
